Mom, Lydia and I were at our local craft store on Tuesday when I saw a beautiful throw quilt. There was no price on it, so I asked a lady working in the store if it was for sale. They had to get in contact with the woman who made it to see how much she was asking for it and ended up calling me the next day. The price was good, which is what I was praying for. You don't see too many quilts here in Holland. Most women have a job and don't care to stay at home and bake and sew. I probably paid more for it than I would have in the States, but it will be a nice reminder of Holland when I see it on our couch in Russell's and my new home. Our home. I can hardly believe I'm saying that!
Back in October Mrs. Chris gave me some graduation money. I've been saving it to buy something special that I'll always have. I bought this quilt with that money. I love quilts! I guess I got that from my mom. Quilts are just so homey!
This picture shows the true colors. They are much softer than they appear in these pictures. I must say, it's much prettier in real life.
Thanks, Mrs. Chris! I love it!

Cute, Hannah.
It's absolutely beautiful!!! I love it! The different floral-patterned materials in it are so pretty, and the colors are just perfect. I'm happy you got a good deal on it. You're going to be such a sweet homemaker, Hannah!
Emily and I want to do some quilting this winter. I still need to finish restoring my baby quilt that I started working on two years ago. =D I'll have more time for other crafts once I finish the mittens I'm making for the Moldovan orphans. Speaking of sewing, I did a bit yesterday. I altered an ill-fitting denim jumper into a cute skirt. =)
Guess what! Dad got two caribou this week! One Tuesday when he and Timmy went out, and one yesterday. After they get this second one skinned out, we'll start the butchering process. It looks to be a full day. =)
I love you, friend! Take care and God bless.

It is a very pretty quilt!Someday I will be able to make one as nice as that.
That is a very pretty quilt. I don't think I've seen a circle pattern before, it will look very pretty in your home.
Oh, please Russell! What kind of mush is that man? I don't think I would have said that when I was courting my wife!
Love you Bro,
Steve
I love quilts too! They are so warm and cozy. My family has a few that my grandmother made and I love them so much!! :)
Isn't that something!, God had this planned all along, of course. We already know that. How Ms. Chris gave you money at your graduation. That's so sweet. Yes, beautiful quilt!
