Rehearsal

4-16-2010

After the rehearsal dinner we left our guests at the restaurant to have dessert and headed to the church for the rehearsal.

God was good! I've heard some real horror stories about weddings and the problems that came up unexpectedly. The issues at our wedding were minor: The flower order for the corsages, my wedding bouquet filler, and the reception got messed up. Bro. Buddy's and my dad's tuxedoes were maroon (like the groomsmen) instead of black. We had 2 people recording the ceremony and neither one of them was able to record, so we only have short video clips. As far as I can remember that is the only thing that went wrong. Though I am disappointed about the recordings not turning out, it could have been a lot worse. God is good!

Russell's Aunt Sandy played the piano for us.

Lydia: "Get over there, Russell."

Russell's and my first argument.
Lydia: "Wow! I didn't know you guys could do this!"

Russell: "Hannah, you get over there NOW!"

Just kidding! =D
I don't know what was going on in these last 3 pictures, but we weren't mad at all.

Almost sister and brother in-law!

Brotherly goofballness. =D

Cool Aaron shaking his brother's hand.

Enjoying the last hours of the night--our last night being single.

Dad opened us in prayer. Prayer helps everything! Especially irritating and nerve-wracking rehearsals!

First things first---find your place and get taped down by Bro. B.

My bridesmaids ~ (left to right) Holly, my cousin; Paige, a girl in our church; Jewel, Russell's little cousin; Lydia, my sister and maid of honor.

Bro. Brian, one of our ushers, taping Russell down.

Hustle and bustle!

Yes...we had fun, even in the busyness of it all!

Russell and his groomsmen.

Me with my ladies. What a happy bunch!

Mrs. Chris directed everything. She was very tired! Literally, she and my mom put the whole wedding and reception together. It was amazing!

Here's Bro. Buddy being goofy. =D

Mom making sure everything is perfect. See the blue tape?

Ryan & Jewel.

"Who gives this woman to this man?"
Dad: "Her mother and I."

The excited soon-to-be groom!
Handsome, handsome! My guy is sooooo handsome!

I love him so...but that's not why I'm marrying him.
He is God's choice, and that is why I will say "I do."

The Preacher ~ Russell's Dad

Aaron had a somber face during the entire wedding ceremony; you'd think he was at a burial. So this picture is extra special because it's one of the few where he is looking happy.

The preacher and the groomsmen.

Mother & Son

Clay at the piano. He wrote a song for our wedding called "Worth the Wait."
Just wait until you hear the video clip!!! WOW!

Dad looked very sober and kind of in shock throughout the rehearsal.
I think it was really registering that he was giving his little girl away.

I did indeed!

Daddy was on the verge of tears.

Mom is laughing and Mrs. Chris is annoyed. Let's see why...

Clay was being goofy and making the boys laugh.

Clay & Lydia ~ "A Good and Perfect Gift"

Jason, who took these pictures, has a real eye for photography.

Practicing lighting the unity candle.

It's a blessing when you get to marry your best friend!

Lydia trying not to get emotional.

Singing to each other ~ "I Will Be True"

At this point we are getting tired...

Taking a break to discuss the plan and any changes needing to be made.
Then one last march down the aisle...

Waiting for the bride...

Tomorrow this is for real. Tomorrow I am the bride in my white gown.

Tomorrow we stand here as bride and groom--husband and wife!
