I am so spoiled! I have more birthday gifts to write about. The Maynards’ package arrived on Wednesday morning. Mrs. Chris gave me a nice bookmark with Psalm 46:10 on it, a purple pen, and a book light. She is so sweet!
Oh...and I also got a book from a friend.
We got together with the Kamps last night at around 8:30 PM. The guys left to go skating with them downtown, but Mom and I felt like we were getting sore throats, so we didn’t think it would be wise to go out into the cold to skate for an hour. The guys picked us up when they were finished, and we went to the Kamps’ house.
All five of us girls sat in the living room on the couch and talked for a while. Annika is so cute and cuddly. Then I played several games with the Alisah and Grace. We played 2 games of Dutch Blitz; I won the first game, and Alisah won the second game. That was fun! I haven’t played Dutch Blitz since the Maynards visited us...over 3 months ago. Wow! =( When we started the game, I moved my chair to the other side of the table so we would be more spread out. Then Annika started moving her little stool over next to mine, which sorta defeated my idea of being spread out. Ha! I didn’t realize she wanted to sit by me. So cute! I love being loved by her. After 2 games of Dutch Blitz, I proposed that we play a game that Annika could play as well. She wanted to play Memory, so I got on a chair (yes, I’m short! chuckle) and got it out of the closet. I won the game. Wow! Maybe my memory has improved with turing 21! Ha!
Then we opened gifts. Grace made me a cute picture of a girl in a pretty dress. The Kamps gave me a beautiful pearl-colored frame and a little old fashioned ornament. When Mrs. Kamps, Lydia and I were out shopping several weeks ago, we were at the coffee and tea shop downtown when I saw the most beautiful teacup. It was SO, so cute! Imagine my glad surprise when I unwrapped that very teacup from the tissue paper. I just LOVE it! The girls thought it was so pretty too! We had a very nice evening with the Kamps and got home at 11 PM.
