O Holy Night!

Happy December 11th!

I've been really busy and it looks like the whole month is going to be hectic, so that's my reason for not publishing a song every day like I had planned. I'm not even going to try to catch up this time, but I wanted to share this amazing performance with you. It's beautiful!!!

I Believe To See ~ Wedding Video

Lydia made this short video clip. Hope you all enjoy it! We really did walk out of the church to this song. It was Russell's and my favorite song throughout our courtship. We believe to see the goodness of the Lord!!!

Lyd, you did an EXCELLENT job! I love it! =)

Hello-Goodbye TV show

Remember the interview at the airport when Russell came to visit in me in January? The one I knew they would never air? Well...I take it back---they actually aired it! They cut out some of the good parts, but it was still nice. My family told me a lot of our neighbors and an older lady from our first church in the country saw it and were shocked and impressed. It is kinda neat being on TV! Some guy even wants to meet my family after seeing it.

You have to watch it for a bit before they get to the part where we are in it, and it is in Dutch.
Here is the link if you would like to watch it. CLICK HERE

In the Sweet By and By

10/29/2009
This is a video Aaron took during the camp meeting week in FL. Lydia, Clay, Russell & I sang. I was trying to get over a flu and Lydia and Clay were just beginning to come down with something. We all kinda had a frog in our throat, so instead of being the Huumayns of 2008 we were the "croaking quartet" of 2009. =D
Hope you enjoy it anyway...

A Woman Rides the Beast ~ Dave Hunt

This is an interesting documentary that Dad showed in church after the service on Sunday. This makes it so clear that the Catholic church is the Great Whore described in Revelation. Check it out and see for yourself!

More Birthday Gifts!

I am so spoiled! I have more birthday gifts to write about. The Maynards’ package arrived on Wednesday morning. Mrs. Chris gave me a nice bookmark with Psalm 46:10 on it, a purple pen, and a book light. She is so sweet!
Oh...and I also got a book from a friend.

We got together with the Kamps last night at around 8:30 PM. The guys left to go skating with them downtown, but Mom and I felt like we were getting sore throats, so we didn’t think it would be wise to go out into the cold to skate for an hour. The guys picked us up when they were finished, and we went to the Kamps’ house.

All five of us girls sat in the living room on the couch and talked for a while. Annika is so cute and cuddly. Then I played several games with the Alisah and Grace. We played 2 games of Dutch Blitz; I won the first game, and Alisah won the second game. That was fun! I haven’t played Dutch Blitz since the Maynards visited us...over 3 months ago. Wow! =( When we started the game, I moved my chair to the other side of the table so we would be more spread out. Then Annika started moving her little stool over next to mine, which sorta defeated my idea of being spread out. Ha! I didn’t realize she wanted to sit by me. So cute! I love being loved by her. After 2 games of Dutch Blitz, I proposed that we play a game that Annika could play as well. She wanted to play Memory, so I got on a chair (yes, I’m short! chuckle) and got it out of the closet. I won the game. Wow! Maybe my memory has improved with turing 21! Ha!

Then we opened gifts. Grace made me a cute picture of a girl in a pretty dress. The Kamps gave me a beautiful pearl-colored frame and a little old fashioned ornament. When Mrs. Kamps, Lydia and I were out shopping several weeks ago, we were at the coffee and tea shop downtown when I saw the most beautiful teacup. It was SO, so cute! Imagine my glad surprise when I unwrapped that very teacup from the tissue paper. I just LOVE it! The girls thought it was so pretty too! We had a very nice evening with the Kamps and got home at 11 PM.

Isn’t that the prettiest teacup you ever saw?
(Hey guys, sorry! I know this is a girl thing... Bear with me! =)

Josiah’s birthday DVD from the Maynards--FIREPROOF--arrived in the mail yesterday morning. Mom’s heart was set on watching it, so we did, even though it was very late. We stayed up until 1:00 AM! That is one good movie! I cried several times. It’s powerful.
I liked this part: Caleb is at the computer looking at his boat and a DD (deep ditch--see Proverbs 23:27) pops up. He wants to click on it. In frustration he opens the book from his Dad. That day it is about parasites (DDs) sucking the life out of marriages. Caleb knows what he has to do. He takes the computer outside and smashes it with a baseball bat. No more addictions! AMEN!!! GO, Caleb!!! And then this... He puts a vase of deep red roses where the computer used to be and writes a note to the wife he is about to lose to divorce. “I love you more.” He loved his wife more than his selfish desires…more than his addiction. “I love you more.” I lost it at that point. I was bawling.
That’s the kind of man I want to marry! I want to marry a good man. I want to be a good wife. I want a strong marriage!
I don’t agree with the music (we just muted it), but I have to say that this is a movie you will not regret buying!

Tom & Jerry ~ The Night Before Christmas

Tom & Jerry is my favorite cartoon. I guess that's because I feel a certain kinship with Jerry, my mouse friend. =) I hope you enjoy one of my favorite Christmas cartoons!

I Can Go In

This recording didn’t turn out quite like we wanted it to. We never claimed to be professionals, so please bear with us. We only had one night to practice before we sang on Sunday morning. Next time the Huussens and the Maynards get together we’re going to do it better. But, for now we hope you enjoy this recording of “I Can Go In,” presented by the “Huumayn Singers.” =)

How Beautiful Heaven Must Be

“How Beautiful Heaven Must Be.” This is one of my favorite songs! We had such a wonderful time practicing it. Truly, Heaven exceeds your definition of wonderful!
Please forgive all the background noise.

Sorry to be boring!

Hi, people!

I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed with things lately; that's why I haven't been writing much of anything. But...even though I'm not writing, a lot has been going on in my mind. So, one of these days you'll hear from me again. =)

I updated my YouTube page today. I had a lot of trouble and fun mixing my colors and writing up my profile. Anyway, if you want to see some of my videos, check this link: www.youtube.com/missmouse1988

Bye-bye!

Mouse Music

I enjoy playing around on the piano in my spare time. As I have said in the past, playing an instrument is good for letting out those sometimes-overwhelming emotions. This is a little song I came up with during one of those melancholy moments. Try not to cry, okay? =D

Pilgrim's Progress

We’ve had this video since I was a kid, and I love it, despite some scary parts. It’s one of my favorites!!!

I think as Christians we often blindly charge through life without giving the spiritual world much thought. I can’t see the spiritual things that are taking place around me, but when I watch this movie I am made more aware of the very real battles being fought as the Spirit of God wars against my wicked human nature. Somehow watching Pilgrim’s Progress helps me look at life with different eyes. Things that I would normally attribute to just circumstance I suddenly see as direct assaults from the devil in clever disguises. Getting the victory over struggles in my life seems more worthwhile when I see things from this perspective!

If Christians would start comparing their lives with that of Pilgrim---who faced temptations and trials, experienced suffering for the Gospel’s sake, failed God numerous times and still kept on going, who triumphed over evil and finally entered the gates of Heaven---boy! I think we sure would see a whole bunch of lives gloriously changed! I think that would please God!!!

Buy Pilgrim’s Progress, the whole movie (it is soooooooo much better than this clip), today! I can guarantee you that you won’t regret it!

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Ephesians 6:10-18

Having Fun Exercising!

The video says it all. =D Be sure to watch all three!

If you’ve questioned my intellectual capacity and ability to think rationally before, you have even more worries now! =D Sometimes I have these rare moments of insanity…no, just kidding. I was bored as I “biked,” so I decided to have what I call a little innocent fun. Yeah, it makes life interesting! =) One who can entertain himself or herself shall be a very contented person. That’s my wise saying for the day. =D
