Reserved!

In this world I am a stranger, just don’t fit in
Don’t do all the things that they do
But in Heaven I am favored
By the One Who set me free
He says peculiar is what I should be

Not with the number will Jesus find me
But walking with Him is what I choose
Should I not serve Him, when He redeemed me?
I’ve been reserved for my Master’s use

People ask me why the usual brings no joy to my heart
Can’t see the “me” they used to see
Then I stand up and I tell them
Different blood flows within
My joy comes strictly from living for Him

Not with the number will Jesus find me
But walking with Him is what I choose
Should I not serve Him, when He redeemed me?
I’ve been reserved for my Master’s use

Notes from Hannah: I’ve been reserved for my Master’s use! What an awesome thought! Praise God! I have been separated from “the number” unto Jesus Christ for a specific purpose. Should I not serve Him when He redeemed me with His own blood?! Can I give Him anything less than my very life?
I will serve Him! Will you?

Amen, Hannah! I first heard this song today, sung by the Marshall family, on a CD we got in the mail. We have no place in this world; we have no business trying to fit in! What a motivation to serve Him--we've been redeemed, bought with an amazing price. Praise God! I love II Cor. 5:14-15; His wondrous, boundless love should constrain every born-again believer to "not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again".

Your sister in Christ,

Naomi
