Spring has come to Holland! The sun has been a frequent visitor after many months of seemingly endless gloominess. Every morning I wake up to the sound of birds chirping merrily, though the sun has not even risen yet. I've noticed that the grass in our yard is growing again and so are the flowers! I thought you all might enjoy some pictures...
Daffodils growing in the park.
Mom, Lyd, and I went for a walk the other evening, and we spotted a mother swan sitting on her nest. She must have sensed that we were there to admire her; she seemed to look proud of herself for having such a fine nest.
More cheerful daffodils.
And some crocuses.

(SIGH!) Thank you, Hannah!!! That refreshment of the eyes was delightsome. How serene and beautiful was the swan! You all must've been excited to see her on your walk. God's creatures are a blessing. =)
I'm so eager for June, which is when all of our snow is gone and the tiny white livelong saxifrage spring from the earth, followed by lychnis, mouse ear chickweed, poppies, boreal Jacob's ladder, and bell heather! I love our hardy, lovely tundra flowers and can't wait to see them again. To me, they're a reminder to bloom where the Master's planted you. However difficult the soil and environment, you can bloom as designed to glorify Him! He knows best and loves us!
Love you,
Naomi
