A Peek Through My Panes

I'm going to start calling these random picture posts "A peek through my panes" (as in window panes, or the "window panes"---as in contacts---covering my big brown eyes =D).

Yesterday this cute critter caught me capturing his image.

I got this nice coffee table off of Craig's List. It really looks nice with our new couches!
I'll get pictures on here one of these days.

Russell and I are one flesh and one-minded. The other day he was telling me that he was singing a song while he was at work and his Christian co-worker didn't know it. Before he even told me what song it was I, for some reason, began humming "There's a Church in the Valley By the Wildwood." That was the song! Is that creepy, or what? =D

Russell and I joined Mama (my mother-in-law) and Mrs. Kim (Mama's best friend) for a trip to the mall. Here we are in the Christian book store. This little cutie is Christina (Mrs. Kim's daughter). She calls me "Nana," only a slightly different version of Josiah's name for me when he was a baby. I love it! She is very shy but has warmed up to me ever since our outing together. She loves to dig around in my purse, play with my phone (she loves seeing "Wussew an Nana"---our courtship picture is my phone's background picture), and lose my house keys.

Here is Russell sorting through "Adventures in Odyssey" audio CDs--our favorite childhood radio program!

Ready for church...

This is our church! It used to be the boys home, but after they were taken away 2 months ago we put up pews and turned it into our very own church. The joy of having our own building at last helped to ease some of the pain we were all feeling.

Here is my husband (it still feels so new and wonderful using that term!), his father, and 2 brothers singing a special at church. I love listening to the 4 of them sing! Wow!

Do I look much different? I feel like a different person.

Yes...(peaceful sigh)...it looks so quaint and inviting...
AND THEN YOU LIVE HERE...

...And collide with uninvited bedroom guests such as these! This grasshopper was several inches long. I shivered for hours after it was dead...just at the thought. This state of Florida was not meant to be inhabited by humans. I've got a bone to pick with Christopher Columbus...or whoever!!!

Wonderful pictures, Hannah! I love these little peeks into your new life with Russell. I think your coffee table is lovely! Any photos of your living room upcoming, by any chance? =) Christina sure is a sweetheart. Little girls make the best friends, in my humble opinion.

It's good to see how God is blessing through the losses of the ministry. And the Lord isn't finished yet! He's still going to work and bless. Now is the time for waiting and the renewing of strength. He will reward your faith and your labor!!!

The crafts you did with the girls are so cute. I've never considered myself a Southerner or a Northerner... I guess that's because I come from the midwest. =D My family drinks tea cold and sweet, for the most part, and I drink more hot coffee than I do hot tea. Anyway. (chuckle) I love your teacup! I've been wanting to start a collection. I found a pretty blue china teacup in an antique shop in Georgia. It has the loveliest scene on it... a castle across a lake, a man fishing in a rowboat, a lady standing at the shore looking away. I love it! I'll share pictures of my treasures one of these days. =)

We are having beautiful weather! Blue skies, a cool wind, and about 70 degrees on the thermometer. I hope it lasts a few weeks; winter is nearly upon us. We are butchering our first caribou today. William gave it to us last Friday. I've decided to go hunting with Dad and Timothy this year. I think it will be fun! =) I've never been way out on the tundra--I guess that's my greatest motivation. I have no idea how bad or good a shot I am. I guess I'll find out when I do some target practice this week.

I'd best get busy. So sweet to hear from you, friend!

Love,

Naomi
