I grew up listening to this song during the Christmas season. Years ago it was recorded onto a cassette tape from my Papa and Oma's old records, and now Josiah is trying to put it on CD to send me for my own Christmas collection. It's one of those songs that brings me back home on a crisp winter evening with the wind and sleet howling against the windows, meanwhile my family is gathered in our cozy, warm living room. All around the room candles flicker, the tree is lit with lots of colorful lights, and the happy voices of my loved ones drifts through the house, all the way up to the attic where Mom and Dad sleep.

I love this song, too. It makes me happy and cozy -- you know, that warm, fuzzy feeling? =) This particular rendition certainly has a charm about it. Old-timey music is special that way.
